Graduates and career changers. Numbering the sections imposes an order on a resume that does not yet have a long employment history to structure it.
What to watch out for
The counters are drawn by CSS and DO appear in the extracted text, so a parser reads "01 Experience". The heading word survives beside the number, which is what matters — but it is not invisible.
How much fits on one page
This layout spends space deliberately, so it holds less than most. That works in your favour early in a career, where a densely packed page reads as padding — and against you after about a decade, when you may need the tighter text-size setting in the builder to stay on one page.
Numbered and applicant tracking systems
Numbered is a single column, which is the arrangement applicant tracking systems read most reliably. A parser walks the page top to bottom and gets your sections in the order you wrote them. Nothing about this template needs adjusting before you upload it to a job portal.
Where in the world to send the Numbered template
Neutral everywhere, with one small consideration for markets where applications are screened by keyword-matching software before a human sees them — common in US and Indian large-employer pipelines. The counters do reach the extracted text, so a parser reads "01 Experience" rather than "Experience". No mainstream system fails on that, but it is not invisible.

Numbered template questions
Will "01 Experience" break keyword matching?
In practice no. The section word survives intact beside the number, and matching works on the heading term, not on the string being an exact match for the line. It is worth knowing rather than worth worrying about — but if your pipeline is unusually strict, Classic removes the question.
Who is numbering actually useful for?
Graduates and career changers. When you do not yet have a long employment history to give the page its own shape, numbered sections impose an order and make a short resume read as structured rather than sparse.
Do the section numbers mean anything to a recruiter?
They are ordering, not ranking — nobody reads "03 Education" as third in importance. Their job is to give a scannable rhythm down the page, which helps when a reader is moving fast. If the numbering feels affected for your field, Overline gives similar structure with a rule instead of a counter.
