Where is my resume data stored?

Locally in your own browser's storage (localStorage). It is never sent to our servers.

Do you use AI to write my resume?

No. We do not use any generative AI. Your content is 100% written by you, and we do not send your text to third-party AI models.

Do third parties receive my resume data?

No. Because your resume data is never uploaded to our servers, we have no data to share with or sell to recruiters or third parties.

What happens when I use the ATS Checker?

The ATS keyword matching runs entirely on your device using JavaScript. The job descriptions you paste are analyzed locally and never uploaded.

How do I delete my data?

Simply clear your browser's site data, or click the Clear button in the builder. This permanently erases your resume from your device.

What about Analytics and Advertising?

We use basic, aggregate analytics (page views, browser types) that are not linked to individuals or resume content. Our site is funded by Google AdSense, which may use cookies to serve personalized ads based on your general browsing, but advertisers never have access to your resume content.

ResumeCrisp operates https://resumecrisp.in. You can reach us at wizardswebwonder@gmail.com.

2. Resume and cover letter content

Everything you type into the resume builder, cover letter builder or ATS checker is processed entirely within your browser using JavaScript, and saved using your browser’s local storage.

This means:

• Your content is never transmitted to our servers.
• We cannot read it, recover it, or share it.
• It stays on the device and browser you used.
• Clearing your browser data permanently deletes it.
• “Email it to yourself” feature: When you use the ‘Email it’ button, we generate a mailto: link that opens your device’s native email client (like Gmail or Outlook). The text is passed directly to your own email app. Your resume is never sent to, routed through, or logged by our servers.
• ATS Checker: The ATS keyword matching runs entirely on your device via JavaScript. Job descriptions you paste are analyzed locally and never uploaded.

Use the Save data button in the builder to export a file if you want your own backup.

3. We do not sell data to recruiters

Some free resume services fund themselves by selling applicant data to recruiters and employers. We do not, and the architecture above means we could not even if we wanted to.

4. Analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful — page views, approximate country, browser type and referring site. This is aggregate traffic data and is not linked to any individual, and never to resume content.

5. Advertising

This site is funded by advertising. When advertising is enabled, we expect to use Google AdSense, which may set cookies or similar identifiers on your device to show and measure ads.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices.

Advertisers never receive your resume content — they have no technical means of accessing it.

6. Local storage we use

All of these live on your device only. You can delete them at any time by clearing site data in your browser, or by pressing Clear in the builder.

7. If you email us

We receive your email address and whatever you write. We keep it only as long as needed to answer you, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

8. Your rights

Under GDPR, the UK GDPR, India’s DPDP Act, the CCPA and similar laws, you have rights to access, correct and delete personal data held about you. Because your resume never reaches us, you already hold and control that data directly — clearing your browser storage erases it completely.

9. Children

This site is intended for people of working age and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
