What to watch out for
With no rules or fills, section boundaries depend entirely on white space. If you write long unbroken paragraphs, the structure disappears.
How much fits on one page
This layout spends space deliberately, so it holds less than most. That works in your favour early in a career, where a densely packed page reads as padding — and against you after about a decade, when you may need the tighter text-size setting in the builder to stay on one page.
Minimal and applicant tracking systems
Minimal is a single column, which is the arrangement applicant tracking systems read most reliably. A parser walks the page top to bottom and gets your sections in the order you wrote them. Nothing about this template needs adjusting before you upload it to a job portal.

Minimal template questions
My sections run together — how do I fix that?
With no rules or fills, section boundaries depend entirely on white space, so long unbroken paragraphs erase the structure. Keep bullets to one or two lines each and the spacing does its job. If your content is genuinely paragraph-heavy, Classic gives you rules to lean on.
Is Minimal good for an ATS?
It is among the best here. Single column, no decorative elements, no counters, no sidebar — there is essentially nothing for a parser to misread. If your only concern is getting through automated screening, this or Classic.
Is minimal the same as empty?
No — minimal is what happens when the spacing and type are doing the work that decoration usually does. It suits candidates with strong content and senior readers who dislike being sold to. If your history is thin, minimalism exposes it, and Fresher or Card Sections give more structure to hold a shorter record.
