What to watch out for
Boxed headings add height. On a long resume the boxes accumulate and cost you most of a page.
How much fits on one page
Capacity is middle of the road: comfortable for five to ten years of experience on a single page. Beyond that, drop the text size a notch in the builder rather than cutting a role.
Modern and applicant tracking systems
Modern is a single column, which is the arrangement applicant tracking systems read most reliably. A parser walks the page top to bottom and gets your sections in the order you wrote them. Nothing about this template needs adjusting before you upload it to a job portal.

Modern template questions
Why does Modern take more space than Classic?
Every boxed heading carries its own border and internal padding, so eight sections cost close to half a page in framing alone. That is the price of making sections obvious without using colour. On a long history, Classic or Narrow give the room back.
Do the boxes cause any parsing problem?
None. The box is a border drawn around a normal heading element and the heading text extracts exactly as it would unstyled. This is a single-column layout, which is what actually determines machine readability.
What makes this modern rather than just plain?
The boxed headings and the tighter relationship between heading and content. It is a small difference from Classic and it changes the register from traditional to current without adding colour, a sidebar or any parse risk. It remains single column and ATS-safe throughout.
