How much fits on one page
This is one of the higher-capacity layouts here. The sidebar absorbs skills and certifications that would otherwise eat into the main column, so a ten-to-fifteen year career usually still lands on one page.
Meridian and applicant tracking systems
Meridian places Skills, Languages and Certifications in a sidebar beside your experience. Parsers read straight across a page rather than down a column, so a skill from the sidebar can land in the middle of a sentence about your last job. That does not make the template unusable — it makes it a design for human readers. Send this one when a person opens your application directly, and download the Word version for anything that goes through a portal, because that export is always single column whichever template you picked.

Meridian template questions
What makes this an international layout specifically?
It assumes the two conventions that differ most across borders: a photograph, and a credentials column of the kind common in European CVs. Where both are expected it reads as complete; where neither is, it reads as three unnecessary risks at once.
Can I adapt it for a US or UK application?
Remove the photograph and use the Word download for anything going through a portal. That leaves a banner layout with a sidebar, which is fine by email in either market — you are removing the regional risk and routing around the parsing one.
What is the banner photo column best suited to?
Senior, client-facing roles in markets where photographs are conventional — the banner gives the name scale while the column carries the portrait and a rated skills block. It is a lot of design at once, so it needs a substantial history underneath to look proportionate rather than padded.
