Usually, because the route is different: executive appointments come through search consultants and direct introductions rather than application portals, so parsing rarely enters into it. Check how you are actually applying — if there is an online form, use the Word download.
Should a board CV include a photograph?
In Continental Europe, the Gulf and Latin America, commonly yes. In the US, UK, Canada and Australia, no — the same discrimination concerns apply at every level, and search firms there often strip photographs before presenting a candidate.
Does a photo sidebar undercut a senior application?
In markets where photographs are conventional it reinforces seniority, provided the photograph is genuinely professional. In the UK and US it undercuts the application regardless of quality, because the format itself signals unfamiliarity with local convention. Minimal Executive is the safer senior choice there.
