Who the Beacon template suits
Product and programme management, where badged headings help a reader navigate a resume covering several domains.
What to watch out for
Badges are decorative and mean nothing to a parser. They cost a little height for no machine-readable gain.
How much fits on one page
Capacity is middle of the road: comfortable for five to ten years of experience on a single page. Beyond that, drop the text size a notch in the builder rather than cutting a role.
Beacon and applicant tracking systems
Beacon is a single column, which is the arrangement applicant tracking systems read most reliably. A parser walks the page top to bottom and gets your sections in the order you wrote them. Nothing about this template needs adjusting before you upload it to a job portal.
Where in the world to send the Beacon template
Neutral everywhere. Product and programme hiring in the US, UK, Nordics, Netherlands, India and Australia will find the badged headings familiar from software interfaces; more traditional markets will simply read them as section markers. Low risk either way.

Beacon template questions
Do the badges help a resume covering several domains?
That is what they are for. A programme manager whose page spans delivery, stakeholder work, budget and technical detail gives the reader a lot of context switches — distinct heading badges act as signposts so the eye can find its way back.
Do the icons cost me anything?
A little vertical space, and nothing else. They are decorative and mean nothing to a parser, which reads the heading word beside them exactly as normal. If you are optimising purely for automated screening, they are neutral rather than harmful.
Do the section icons interfere with parsing?
No. They are drawn marks sitting beside the heading text, and the heading itself remains ordinary words in the reading order. A parser looking for Experience or Education finds them exactly as it would without icons. Nothing here is text stored inside an image.
