Who the Vantage template suits

Senior product and strategy roles sent directly to a hiring manager, with a photo and a sidebar for supporting detail.

What to watch out for

Two columns and a photograph together. Human-facing only, and photo-expecting markets only.

How much fits on one page

This is one of the higher-capacity layouts here. The sidebar absorbs skills and certifications that would otherwise eat into the main column, so a ten-to-fifteen year career usually still lands on one page.

Vantage and applicant tracking systems

Vantage places Skills, Languages and Certifications in a sidebar beside your experience. Parsers read straight across a page rather than down a column, so a skill from the sidebar can land in the middle of a sentence about your last job. That does not make the template unusable — it makes it a design for human readers. Send this one when a person opens your application directly, and download the Word version for anything that goes through a portal, because that export is always single column whichever template you picked.

Where in the world to send the Vantage template

Photo-expecting markets and direct applications only — so Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Latin America, the Gulf and much of Asia, sent to a named hiring manager. Remove the photograph and it becomes a two-column layout usable in the UK and US by email, though still not through a portal.

Using this template

  1. Open “Use this template” above — the builder starts with Vantage already selected.
  2. Type your details. Everything saves in your own browser and is never uploaded.
  3. Try the 20 colour themes and 21 font pairings from the Design panel — 420 combinations of this one layout.
  4. Download as PDF to keep this design, or as Word if you are applying through a job portal.

Vantage template questions

Is this appropriate for a senior product role?

In the right market, yes. The sidebar carries supporting detail so the main column can hold your strongest outcomes, which suits senior product and strategy applications where the argument is impact rather than breadth. The route matters more than the level — this needs a person.

What is the difference between this and Chronicle?

Vantage adds a photograph and badged headings for a more presented page; Chronicle is the plain long-history version with a timeline. Choose Vantage when presentation counts and a person opens it, Chronicle when the history is long and the market is conservative.

Why put the photo column on the right?

Because a reader starts at the top left, so a right-hand column lets your name and summary lead and the portrait support them. It is the better arrangement when the content should speak first — and it degrades a little more gracefully than a left column if a parser does read it.
