How much fits on one page
This layout spends space deliberately, so it holds less than most. That works in your favour early in a career, where a densely packed page reads as padding — and against you after about a decade, when you may need the tighter text-size setting in the builder to stay on one page.
Academic and applicant tracking systems

Academic template questions
How long should an academic CV be?
As long as your record. Four to ten pages is unremarkable for a postdoctoral or faculty application, and there is no expectation of one page at any career stage — the document is a complete record, not a summary. That convention is the opposite of the industry resume.
How do I add publications and funding?
Use the custom sections in the builder — the built-in set is aimed at industry, so Publications, Grants, Teaching, Conference Presentations and Peer Review are yours to add. Order them by what the specific post weights most heavily.
How is an academic CV different from a resume?
It is a different document, not a longer one. There is no page limit, the ordering is publications, funding, teaching and service rather than a reverse-chronological employment list, and completeness matters more than selection. This layout is set up for that: airy, unstyled and comfortable running to many pages.
