What to watch out for
A centred photo pushes your first line of content well down the page. On a one-page resume that is real estate you may need.
How much fits on one page
Capacity is middle of the road: comfortable for five to ten years of experience on a single page. Beyond that, drop the text size a notch in the builder rather than cutting a role.
Headshot and applicant tracking systems
Headshot is a single column, which is the arrangement applicant tracking systems read most reliably. A parser walks the page top to bottom and gets your sections in the order you wrote them. Nothing about this template needs adjusting before you upload it to a job portal.

Headshot template questions
A centred photo pushes my content down — is that a problem?
On a one-page resume, yes: the portrait and centred header together can take a quarter of the page before your summary starts. If space is tight, Portrait puts the same photo in a ranged-left header and gives you several lines back.
What size should the photo be?
Upload the largest clear image you have and let the builder scale it — the frame is fixed, so a small file simply looks soft. A plain background and even daylight matter far more than resolution or a professional shoot.
Does a centred photograph look more formal than a sidebar one?
It reads as more traditional, in the register of an academic or institutional profile rather than a designed CV. That suits medicine, academia and some public-sector applications in markets where photographs are usual. It carries exactly the same regional risk as any other photo template.
