What to watch out for
Borders are unforgiving of printer margins. If it is going through an office printer, run one test page first.
How much fits on one page
Capacity is middle of the road: comfortable for five to ten years of experience on a single page. Beyond that, drop the text size a notch in the builder rather than cutting a role.
Framed and applicant tracking systems
Framed is a single column, which is the arrangement applicant tracking systems read most reliably. A parser walks the page top to bottom and gets your sections in the order you wrote them. Nothing about this template needs adjusting before you upload it to a job portal.
Where in the world to send the Framed template
Best where the resume is physically handed over — still common in Indian campus recruitment, Japanese in-person applications and many walk-in hiring processes across South East Asia and the Gulf. For screen-only applications in the US and UK the border adds little.

Framed template questions
Will the border print properly?
It depends on the printer. Most office devices reserve a hard margin of a few millimetres, which can clip the border on one or more edges and looks worse than no border at all. Run one test page before printing a batch.
Does a border help on screen?
Barely — a PDF already has a defined edge on screen, so the frame is doing work that only matters in the hand. Choose it when you know the page will be printed; otherwise Top Bar or Stripe give a finished feel with no print risk.
Does the page border cause printing problems?
It can. Home and office printers with a large unprintable margin may clip the frame on one edge, which looks like a mistake rather than a design. It prints correctly from most professional printers and looks right on screen, so it is safest where the document will be read digitally.
